Compagnon Marktforschungsinstitut was founded in 1964 with the aim of providing a solid foundation for any marketing decision. Long before eye tracking Herbert Wettig invented and patented one of the first instrument based approaches to test advertisements in a quasi-biotic environment: the Compagnon method for the observation of reading behaviour and view registration. This method was followed by further innovative research approaches, e.g. the C-box for the assessment of television watching behaviour.
Since 1993 the agency is managed by Franz Liebel. Compagnon is a marketing oriented agency that offers innovative research approaches in the area of qualitative and quantitative research, based on the principles of cognitive psychology. All of our research approaches, methodologies and analyses benefit from 50 years of experience.
